A MENACING SEASCAPE - ADAM ALLEGRO

n a couple hours, My buddy Brian and I are heading out to the Sorrento Penensula for some hiking and camping.   I have acquired a bunch of new gear (tent, sleeping pad, bag, etc...) that I have been itching to try out.  I have been there before and found a spot that has potential for some amazing seascape sunrises.  Stay tuned.
Before I depart I wanted to share a few photos from the beach just north of Monti di Procida, outside of Naples, Italy.  I arrived later for this shoot than I would have liked (mostly because I was trying to remember where the beach was from my Google Earth scouting), forcing me to rush the set up.  I ended up forgetting I had the ISO set at 1000, which will create much unwanted noise (for those who do not know what I mean).  Fortunately, the D7000 does a pretty good job with higher ISO settings and Lightroom 4 is killer at mitigating the noise.  When I got on the sand, the sun was already low and the clouds out in full force.  For a photographer, clouds like these are brilliant.  The amount of "stuff" up there gives the top of the photo a compelling look, and can only add to a dramatic, awesome atmosphere.  Enjoy!
Thanks for visiting!  Have a great weekend!
