THR ARAGONESE CASTLE

The Aragonese Castle

by Adam Allegro
As I continue to pour through archived files, picking and choosing which photos will have the pleasure of seeing the light of day, I stumble on pictures that I completely ignored which had wonderful potential.  Maybe that's a good thing... This is essentially the same as taking a first look at these pictures, even though this particular group is over a year old.
This quick photo journey takes us to the awe-inspiring Aragonese Castle which sits safely perched on a massive rock connected to the Island of Ischia by a narrow road.  When you walk up to the castle you can just feel its menacing presence beaming down on you.  The photos below take us on a quick tour through the actual castle, connecting churches, caverns, hallways, and grand rooms.  I will leave it at that and let you enjoy the photos as they are.  If you find yourself in the Naples area, take the opportunity to get out to the island of Ischia and explore this awesome castle!
